Privacy Policy

Overview

Saiyia ("the App") is an AI voice assistant operated by an individual developer. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and how you control your data.

Information we collect

• Account: email and hashed password for sign-in and account management.
• Voice: when you use speech input, audio is streamed to our servers and converted by a speech recognition provider. We do not keep the raw audio stream after recognition.
• Chat content: messages go through our servers to a large-language-model provider. With cloud sync on, chat history is stored encrypted for multi-device access.
• Cloud sync data: notes, vocabulary, and recordings sync when you use those features (recordings in object storage, encrypted in transit and at rest). Only you can access them after sign-in.
• Subscription status: for App Store purchases we receive receipts from Apple to verify access. We never see your card details.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• No ads, no ad SDKs, no cross-app tracking.
• We do not use your chats to train models.
• Calendar, reminders, contacts, and photos stay on-device when those features are used; they are not uploaded to our servers.

Third parties

To provide core features, these processors may see necessary data:

• AI providers: speech recognition, synthesis, and chat generation.
• Cloud infrastructure: hosting and object storage for recordings.
• Apple: in-app subscription payment and receipt validation.

These are established cloud providers under their own policies. We only send the minimum data needed for the feature.

Retention and deletion

• Cloud data (chats, notes, vocabulary, recordings) is kept while your account exists; you can delete items in the app anytime.
• Delete account: App → Settings → Cloud → Delete account (password required). Account and cloud data are permanently removed.
• Local-only data is removed when you uninstall the app.

Security

TLS in transit; passwords hashed; recordings encrypted at rest (AES-256); credentials isolated. No system is perfectly secure — we will notify you via in-app notice or email if a relevant incident occurs.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as features evolve. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
